*Continuing education in such matters as senior scams, living wills and other important legal documents, and much more on resources available to seniors.
*Health services including blood pressure checks and annual health fairs including availability of flu shots and more.
*Fun activities including Bingo, Client-led daily devotions, Price is Right, Birthday parties and other holiday parties, crafts, movie days, puzzles, chorus, games including wii, cards, dominos, television, fun day trips announced each month in our newsletter, low impact exercise and a host of exercise equipment available for free use.
*Periodic evidence based balance classes (watch for updates).
Limited transportation is provided based on availability within Monroe to Doctors, grocery store, and social appointments within Monroe. Daily transportation is also available to and from the Monroe site based on route availability. A donation is requested for trips to help cover the cost of this program.
Our Community Garden, funding through East West Bank, Northeast Georgia Area Agency on Aging, and assistance from the Walton County Master Gardeners Association, helps us “play in the dirt again” in raised beds bringing us fresh and nutrition herbs and vegetables.
